Hey I’m Jill!
I’m a professional evidence based voice teacher specializing in helping high schoolers and young adults looking to up-level their musical theatre and pop/rock training. Navigating auditions? Casting decisions? Rehearsals? Performances? College prep? I’ve got your back.
I have a BFA in Musical Theatre from Western Connecticut State University where I received national awards through the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival. In high school I competed on Broadway at the 2013 and 2014 Jimmy Awards where I placed as a top finalist.
I’m certified in Level 1 of Maddie Tarbox Voice Studio’s Evidence-Based Voicework Pedagogy Program (Voice Function 101). I’m also a 200 Hour Certified Aligned Vinyasa Yoga Teacher.
Along with teaching voice, I’ve released my own original music. My single “Selfish Motives” was featured in the 2021 September issue of Relix magazine with the band My Morning Jacket on the cover.
I’ve performed professionally in regional theatre in productions such as “Big River”, “Joseph And The Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat”, and “The Fantasticks” as well as in concert appearances with film and television stars Millie and Abigail Shapiro, Andrea McArdle, and a much cherished duet with my former vocal coach and Broadway legend Linda Eder.
Additionally, I’ve trained with Broadway’s John Hickok, Frank Wildhorn , Andrea Burns, Tim Howard, Elizabeth Parkinson, MaryAnn Lamb, Scott Wise, and Janelle Robinson.
My purpose as a teacher is to create a stress-free environment in singing lessons where you’re able to become your most confident self and discover your unique voice. Voice lessons should leave you feeling worthy, capable, and inspired to keep pursuing your dreams.
When I’m not teaching I’m probably sipping on a matcha latte, spending time with my mini poodle Honey, and my two tuxedo cats Suzi and Annie. :)
